Dhiruben Gordhanbhai Patel, (Gujarati: ધીરુબેન પટેલ Hindi: धीरुबेन पटेल); born May 25, 1926 in Vadodara),[1] is a Gujarati novelist, playwright, negotiator and translator who won the 2001 Sahitya Akademi Award for Gujarati language for his novel Agantuk.[1][2]
She is a former President of Gujarati Sahitya Parishad and one of her play, Bhavni Bhavai, has been filmed.[3] Her works include Aandhali Gali; Shimalanan Phool; Waansno Ankur, Javal, Atitrag, Anusandhan and Aagantuk.[3]
